Hunstman Cancer Foundation
The Hunstman Cancer Foundation is the philanthropy that Sigma Chi works to raise money for. In 2012, the Hunstman Cancer Institute became the sole preferred partner of Sigma Chi. Across all chapters, $4,174,000 is raised annually.
2021 Contributions
Sigma Chi International Fraternity officials learned on Jan. 13 that its chapters, members, friends and non-member students at its host institution campuses contributed $2,333,232.44 to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation (HCF) during the 2021 calendar year. More than 14,000 unique donors contributed to the effort that began Jan. 1, 2021, and concluded on Dec. 31, 2021, involving Sigma Chi chapters’ signature Derby Days philanthropic events and other fundraising efforts. Since Aug. 1, 2021, the Fraternity has contributed $606,318 toward its goal of donating $2.5 million to HCF during the 2021 to 2022 academic year.
